Give someone special the gift of creativity with a one-day masterclass in the art of weaving.
Set within the Weaver Creature studio, this is an opportunity to step away from the everyday and discover the pleasure of creating something entirely by hand on a large-scale pedal loom. Whether they are completely new to weaving or looking to develop their creative interests, the day will be shaped around their ideas, interests and imagination.
Following booking, the recipient will be invited to an initial meeting where we can explore what they would love to create, from their choice of colours to the techniques and patterns that interest them. This gives us the opportunity to develop a personalised class, carefully planned around their individual interests and creative ambitions.
From 9am to 6pm, they will enjoy a full day in the studio, learning the foundations of weaving and discovering how to bring their own textile ideas to life. Working on a pre-set pedal loom, they will learn to weave, coordinate the pedals, introduce simple patterns and experiment with colour changes. The width of their finished piece will depend on their choice of yarn.
