Panel Speaker-Textile Festival
I was delighted to be a panel speaker at the Textile Festival yesterday - thank you to everyone who joined us both in person and online. It was a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, connect with fellow practitioners, and reflect on the exciting directions contemporary textiles are taking.
The event was hosted by @rheamoras and @__dhy__b, with a keynote speech by @nayeon.han.art that set the tone for a thought-provoking day. Our panel brought together a range of voices and perspectives, featuring @omgitsdaisymc, @x.xin.y, and myself (@weavercreature). Together we discussed our practices, the challenges and opportunities within the field, and the ways textiles continue to evolve as both craft and critical discourse.
I’m grateful to @rcatextiles and the @royalcollegeofart for organising such a rich and inspiring festival. Events like this remind me of the power of dialogue and community in shaping creative practice.
