An insider's guide to getting into the RCA

I was over the moon when the RCA put me forward to be interviewed for Creative Boom’s feature on getting into the Royal College of Art. In my section, I share what I learned from applying to the Textiles MA - from how I approached photographing and presenting my work, to designing slides that have real impact, and why it’s so important to let your personality shine through your portfolio. I also talk about showing breadth in your practice, experimenting across media, and making sure the assessors see you in your application.

As someone who was awarded the prestigious Coats Foundation Scholarship - given to applicants in the very top percentile of portfolios - I know how much weight a strong application can carry, and I’m thrilled to be able to pass on what helped me succeed.
